Ydalia Peguero
Immigration lawyer
A Bronx office for families who want to be told the truth, in plain words.
I practice immigration law and nothing else, from a small office on Fordham Road where most clients come on foot or by bus. I grew up hearing two languages at the table and I work in both.
I keep the caseload small enough to know each family by name. That means I return calls myself, I explain what each notice means, and I tell you plainly when something is a long shot.

How my office works day to day
- I answer the phone, or call you back, myself.
- Every form is explained to you in the language you read best, before you sign.
- You get a copy of everything I file, and a note whenever something changes.
- The fee is written down before work starts, with what the government's own filing fees add.
A lawyer, not a notario
I'm a licensed lawyer. I can represent you in immigration court and before the agencies. Anyone who isn't a lawyer, whatever they call themselves, can't give immigration advice for a fee.
